Harvest Haven Fall Tour 2016

Harvest Haven Fall Tour 2016

Welcome to Crazy Chic Design and thank you for joining us today in the Harvest Haven Fall Tour 2016, hosted by Summer from SheLeavesALittleSparkle. I hope you enjoyed seeing Mysha’s gorgeous home at Remington Avenue. Now, I hope you’ll enjoy seeing the changes I’ve made to my home for Fall. Throughout the summer months, I decorated my house in a coastal theme using many shades of blue. I’m still crushing on blue, but I decided to use a darker shade of navy, and I paired it with my love of mixed metallics. You’ll still see a few coastal influences as well. I’m located in sunny California, just a short drive to the beach, my happy place.

Here’s what you’ll see when you walk up to my front door. I found this wreath at HomeGoods, and I just loved it. It looks like little birch tree branches. You can also read about my recent porch renovation here.

Come on in and see what’s going on!

I’ve added a deep blue vase filled with greenery, and as you’ll see, I’ve used green and blue florals for Fall this year.

I found this white ceramic pumpkin a few years ago at HomeGoods, and it lights up! I love the glow it brings in the evening. The sofa was warmed up with navy velvet pillows from Pier One, gold, copper and white pillows from HomeGoods.

The coffee table has some fun metallic treasures from HomeGoods, and little navy glass bowl filled with blueberries (because they match, of course!)

This room just got a fresh paint job, and I’m in love! The color is On the Rocks by Sherwin Williams and the trim and doors are painted in Swiss Coffee by Kelley Moore. The navy faux silk curtain panels are a deep, rich navy that are making my heart go wild! I also gave my curtain rod an update by painting it gold, using Valspar Brilliant Gold spray paint.

I have a new area rug on order, but unfortunately it didn’t make it here in time for my Fall tour. I’ll share updates when it arrives!

A luxe, navy furry throw adds wonderful texture to my gray bench from HomeGoods.

agate-wall-art

I love this Agate wall art, as it has all of my Fall colors! Table and accessories from Marshall’s and HomeGoods.

Another gorgeous Agate piece of art. I just love all of the colors in this one too! It looks like a beautiful ocean shore with glittery gold sand.

A copper champagne bowl from Pier 1 is overflowing with white pumpkins and greenery.

I also gave my fire screen a little update with the same Brilliant Gold spray paint from Valspar. I found two (50″) birch branches at HomeGoods, and had my husband cut them down into 6 smaller pieces.

Now onto the dining room. The blue area rug from Safavieh has remained in here, and I’ve added flowers and pumpkins.

The area off the dining room, used to be a little breakfast nook. We recently removed the wall between these two spaces to open the area up. Now, we are using it as a little area to relax, sip a cup of coffee, or read the newspaper. The kids also love to snuggle up here! When we host large dinner parties, we can add an extra table here and use the benches for seating. The ‘benches’ are actually bookcases from Ikea, topped with pillows. A less expensive alternative to built-in benches, which is what we were originally planning to do here.

Now, into our recently renovated kitchen. You can see the ‘before’ photos and read about the complete transformation here.

The kids and I had a little fun making a blueberry heart! They gobbled it up shortly after I took this photo! The candle is White Pumpkin scent, and it’s smells so delicious! It’s not Fall around here without a warm candle with the aroma of a baked goodie! The plant is an ornamental kale. The cute little towel and blue glass bowl are from Target.

It also wouldn’t be Fall without fresh picked apples and hot apple cider!

I’ll leave you with a view of my side yard, just off the kitchen. With our warm Fall nights, we love to barbecue, dine Al Fresco, and hang out by the fire ring in this space.
